Staffing Firms / External Recruiters

Interested in connecting professionals to employment opportunities, potentially either contract or full-time. External recruiters will often be able to represent a professional to several companies that they work with and will likely be trying to get a sense of competence and compatibility with at least one role they're currently working on.

Internal Recruiters

Interested in connecting professionals to employment opportunities at the specific company they represent. Internal recruiters will quite often have an exceptional understanding of opportunities that are open across the company or might be coming up in the near future. Internal recruiters will want to get a sense of specific competence related to high priority roles they are currently working on staffing as well as compatibility with the company as a whole.

Hiring Managers or Team Leads

Hiring managers will tend to have a specific project in mind and will often have a background in the same skill set they're trying to source for their project. Will usually have a depth of knowledge about the project itself and what part of the workload a new team member would be responsible for. Might be product owners, design leads or development leads.

Small Business Owners / Executives

At a small to mid-size business the founder, CEO, or another high level executive might be working on a new web presence or corporate image project. Will likely have their own idea of what the project should be but might be looking for technical expertise that doesn't exist in-house.

Other Professionals

Other professionals might include job-seekers that have relevant skill sets or perhaps are working and assisting a recruiter or team lead with a staffing requirement. Might be available as contractors or consultants.
